Since the King Street branch of BHS ceased trading at 6 pm on Saturday, the site has been the subject of intense speculation on social media.
And on Monday there were rumours that UK high street retail giants Primark, John Lewis and Matalan might be interested in launching their own stores in Jersey.
A Facebook page called Jersey Wants Primark, which was set up on Thursday, has now attained more than 1,000 ‘likes’.
