Last month four men were arrested in connection with grooming and suspicion of possessing indecent images following an undercover probe, in which reporters posed online as a 14-year-old girl.
One of the suspects tried to meet the ‘girl’ in a park after school.
The NSPCC said they welcomed the JEP’s work, which it said ‘appears to shine a light on the true scale of online grooming’ and a spokesman for the charity said it was now calling on ministers to open discussions with social-media providers to improve internet safety.
