Michael Beaumont had held the position of Seigneur since he inherited it from his grandmother, Dame Sybil Hathaway, in 1974.
He was awarded the OBE in 2001. His son, Major Christopher Beaumont, succeeds him as Seigneur.
Mr Beaumont’s wife, Diana, and his other son, Anthony, also survive him.
