Jailed: The fraudster family who mocked their victims

The UK-based crime gang plundered the accounts of their targets after posing as bank officials and mocked their victims in text messages as they used their money to buy Rolls-Royces, Lamborghinis and Ferraris, designer clothes and a house in Dubai.

But their luxury lifestyle came to an end when police raided one of the fraudster’s homes and found 50 mobile phones used in the scam and £100,000 in cash hidden under a bed.

Now, speaking after six of the seven-strong gang were jailed by a judge at Bristol Crown Court, one of their Jersey victims, Iain McLean (85), who lost £6,200, said he was pleased and relieved that the case had come to a conclusion.
