Two Planning decisions change after appeals

Deputy Steve Luce has granted permission for the project, which was proposed by Chris Le Gros, who owns Mont Cochon Farm off Rue de Trachy.

Mr Le Gros’s plans – to build two stables, a tack room and tractor store – were turned down initially, with planners saying the proposal would not support the agricultural industry or safeguard agricultural land, however, Mr Le Gros argued that the field in question was not viable for commercial agricultural use and that its access point was not suitable for modern agricultural machinery.

Deputy Luce also approved plans to demolish buildings and construct a store at Belle Hougue on Route des Côtes du Nord in Trinity’s green zone. Applicant Basil Jeanne said his scheme would be discreet and inconspicuous, but initially had his plans rejected on the grounds they would harm the character of the landscape.
