Erica Hunter says that although the recycling bins in Les Creux Country Park are regularly emptied, the dog waste bins are spilling over.
Although the Infrastructure Department takes care of the recycling bins at the park and has ultimate responsibility for the litter bins, it contracts out the work for the latter to a private company via Jersey Property Holdings – which it took over last year. The contractor is supposed to empty the bins every Monday.
A spokesman for the Infrastructure Department said it had been less than two weeks since the dog bins had been emptied, and insisted that no litter bins have been removed.
