Neighbours continue with battle to stop town hotel development

Neighbours Susan and John Boyle, who live in Roseville Street, say they are concerned the development will lead to a loss of privacy for them and have raised objections relating to the project’s scale, density and height.

Mr and Mrs Boyle also claim the building would not fit in with its surroundings, and say the Planning Committee failed to determine the application on its own merits.

The plans for the hotel site were approved in October and include the removal of a historic bunker that served as the secure headquarters for the Channel Islands’ German commander-in-chief during the Occupation.
