The shamed star, who visited Jersey several times throughout his career, made the comments during an interview while he was staying at the Marina Hotel in Havre de Pas in July 1967.
The latest revelations – which were contained in a JEP article published on 29 July 1967, details of which have now been passed to the States police – follow the publication of a report on Thursday which found that BBC staff missed a string of opportunities dating back to the late 1960s to stop Savile.
