Paulo Jorge Da Silva made stabbing movements towards the man’s chest before pursuing him down a road near Springfield Stadium on a Sunday morning last October while shouting: ‘If I catch you I’m going to kill you.’
Terrified witnesses then phoned the police, and the victim, who was a friend, escaped.
Da Silva was arrested at his home later in the day and was jailed for 18 months by the Royal Court on Friday after pleading guilty to affray.
