Call for £500,000 for tourism industry fund

The announcement comes after the appointment by Senator Lyndon Farnham of John Henwood, the chairman of new tourism body Visit Jersey, as the interim chairman of the Tourism Development Fund.

Senator Farnham said that there was just over £100,000 left in the fund and that Mr Henwood would help oversee the allocation of that money later this year.

The group reviews funding applications for tourism projects or businesses and makes recommendations to the minister about whether they should be allocated.
