The end of an era as the Living Legend finally shuts its doors

The centre, which opened on the site of the former Strawberry Farm in 1992 and featured the Jersey Experience special-effects show, karting and a crazy golf course, has shut its doors after suffering a significant drop in business in recent years.

At its height, the St Peter attraction was visited by more than 300,000 holidaymakers a year, but by last year the figure had dropped to less than 100,000.

The site in St Peter was initially put on the market in 2012 after planning permission was granted to build a residential home and housing on the land. However, a buyer has not yet been found.

Chris Lewis, Living Legend’s owner and managing director, thanked staff for their ‘loyalty, hard work, care, inspiration and dedication’ over the years and said that he had many fond memories of the business.
