Grange Developments have submitted an application to build 45 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom properties on the site, off Rue du Hocq in St Clement, which is mainly used for parking by car dealership TrustFord Jersey.
The plot, known as Les Arches, measures nearly three acres and is covered in hoggin – a tough gravel-like substance.
The site includes an office and workshop, gatehouse, storage building and rented accommodation.
Three of these buildings would be demolished under the plans, but the gatehouse would be extended and turned into a one-bedroom house.
In the application, property experts Buckley and Co said that the site had been comprehensively marketed for commercial use, but that the area was redundant.
