Missing man: Every day is agony, say his parents

Danny and Sharon Lynch, the 20-year-old’s father and step-mother, said the Christmas period had been difficult and that the devastation of his disappearance ‘eats away’ at them every day.

For the first time the couple, who have two other children, have publicly appealed for Islanders with any information that could help the investigation, even if they believe it is insignificant, to contact the police. They added that they have been overwhelmed by the efforts of professionals and volunteers to try to find their son.

Mr Lynch disappeared following a work Christmas party at the Merton Hotel on Friday 4 December.

In a statement, his parents said: ‘Every day is agonising and we wake up and realise we have to live this again, day after day, until Adrian is found. It just eats away at you.

‘Christmas Day without Ady was particularly difficult. His little sisters miss their big brother and wonder where he is. We didn’t feel like celebrating Christmas this year, but you have to create some form of normality for the children’s sake. It’s just so hard. We are devastated.’

Anyone with any information should contact police on 612612 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
