Lowest fuel prices in years (and they’re here to stay)

The cost of petrol at many forecourts has fallen to around 90p per litre – with some garages reporting their lowest prices in five years.

The price of domestic heating oil is now a third lower than this time last year.

And with the global price of crude oil falling to its lowest level in more than a decade following a price war between Saudi Arabia, Russia and other oil producers, local businesses say the low prices are here to stay for the foreseeable future.
