Members of the Planning Committee unanimously supported the project, which had also gained the backing of the Planning Department.
Under the plans, developers Shakespeare Land Ltd will demolish the main hotel and its associated staff buildings off Grande Route de la Côte and replace them with 14 one- and two-bedroom apartments and three houses, two of them three-bedroom units and one a 2½-bedroom home.
Each property has at least one parking space and the site also includes visitor parking.
