Fewer States Members, public-sector reform and less red tape: Chamber issues Christmas ‘wish list’

The Chamber’s council would also like to see fairer car parking that supports both shoppers and retailers, a further review of the States’ property portfolio – a project promised several years ago – and digital voting for local elections.

Speaking at the Chamber’s Christmas lunch on Wednesday, president Kristina Le Feuvre said there was a perception among Chamber members that politicians lacked focus. ‘I would like to see them prove people wrong,’ she said. The Chamber is also calling for a tangible commitment to a better St Helier and less red tape.
