Winners of Picture Jersey announced – Islanders snap to it for a taste of Island life

Five photographs were chosen by a panel of judges out of thousands of entries to the Picture Jersey competition.

A further ten were shortlisted for a sixth prize which was awarded to the shot that received the most votes from JEP readers.

In the end, readers selected Murielle Nicolas’s photo of a red and white Citroen CV2 in St Ouen’s Bay with a surfboard poking out of its roof.

The winners of the judges’ award were Marcin Pajak, for his picture of an autumnal-looking road in St Ouen, and Gary Power, who won twice for his shots of surfers in St Ouen’s Bay and deckchairs outside the White House near the Watersplash. Colin Griffiths also won twice for his photos of the Ecréhous and The Hungry Man at Rozel.
