Doug Bannister, group chief executive at the Ports of Jersey, said that part of the plan would look at finding the best possible solution for a new headquarters for the Sea Cadets.
Mr Bannister said that while the Ports of Jersey played a limited part in the recently withdrawn scheme, the group would now be taking a much more active role, working alongside Jersey Property Holdings. But, he explained, the Sea Cadets headquarters was only a small part of a wider project to improve the Harbour.
