And the huge drop is even bigger than that seen in the UK, where deaths rates have declined by 30 per cent.
Today Dr Susan Turnbull, Jersey’s Medical Officer of Health, welcomed the figures, but warned that the number of people being diagnosed with cancer was still increasing.
