The Fairmans’ latest attempt to get the garage built at Beauport Place was approved in 2012, but the decision was quashed after the Hobsons, who live next door at La Cotte View House, appealed through the Royal Court.
And following a Court of Appeal hearing last week, Environment Minister Rob Duhamel, who has repeatedly backed the Fairmans’ scheme, lost an appeal against the Royal Court’s latest decision in favour of the Hobsons.
