They are designed to mark the 150th anniversary of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the world’s largest humanitarian network.
Jersey Post will donate a percentage of its philatelic sales from this issue to the British Red Cross in Jersey towards the purchase of an emergency support vehicle for use in the Island.
Six cyclists, including British Red Cross operations manager for the Channel Islands, Nick Chandler are currently undertaking a 1,300 mile cycle ride to Bad Wurzach in Germany and back to raise funds for this project.
