Hundreds of people turned out for this year's Dragon boat racing at the Albert Pier on Saturday, with a new course record set and thousands of pounds raised for charity.

Hundreds of people turned out for this year's Dragon boat racing at the Albert Pier on Saturday, with a new course record set and thousands of pounds raised for charity.

Organisers said that the Condor-sponsored event had been a great success and was well on target to raise around £72,000 for Jersey Hospice.

A total of 56 teams took part and a new course record of 1 min 3 sec was set by the Jersey Water Polo team.
