Optimists win the top Battle prize

The colourful, animated and ornate entry, inspired by the classic 1965 British comedy, included old fashioned aircraft, high-flying clouds and Ben Ben.

The prize for second place, the Prix d’Excellence, was won by last year’s Prix d’Honneur winnier, the parish of St Clement, for their Neverland float.

Other winners included St Brelade, which won the parish competition; Peter Heath, whose entry won the Prix d’Honneur de Papier; and Rob Adrian and Friends, who won the Grand Prix des Fleurs trophy.
