The Delhi-bound six-man team, still to be validated by the Commonwealth Games Association of Jersey, is believed to comprise youngsters Jamie MacDonald and Malcolm De Sousa, who will make their débuts at Commonwealth level, Allan Quémard, Derek Boswell and John Lowery, who attended the last Commonwealths in Melbourne four years ago and the recalled Cyril Renouf – the leading individual bowler at the European Team Championships held in Cyprus early last year.
MacDonald is to play in the singles; De Sousa and Lowery in the pairs and Renouf, Quémard and Boswell in the triples.
Australian coaching consultant Lachlan Tighe, who spent three weeks coaching in Jersey last year funded by the aid of a grant from the CGAJ, is understood to been invited to coach the Jersey team in Delhi.
