Trinity face North in the Jeremie Cup final at the Corbet Field while Wanderers contest the WJ Collins Memorial Trophy against Priaulx champions Belgraves at the Track.
Trinity will be eager to put Tuesday’s Wheway Cup final defeat by Jersey Scottish firmly behind them while Wanderers, battling hard to stave off relegation to Division II in the Coca-Cola Combination, will be looking to cause what would be an upset as Bels move towards this year’s Upton against Jersey’s as yet unknown champions.
Wanderers manager Daryn Noble said: ‘We’re optimistic and looking forward to the challenge.
It will certainly be a stern test for us but we go with no fear.
‘Bels have had a great season to win their championship so early in the season and they only thing we know about them is they have quick players in attack.
‘It’s a game in which we can assess how far we have come this season and currently we’re in good form with just one defeat in our last five games.’ Wanderers are expected to be at full strength with defender Richard Houguez expected to get over a minor strain.
Trinity joint-manager Adam Reid said: ‘Games with North are usually tight and that is what we are expecting.
‘Losing a cup final in midweek was disappointing and we are looking to bounce back right away.
‘We will have to raise the bar from the other night; it’s as simple as that, we have to put in a much better performance to give ourselves any chance of winning.
One player who will want to forget this season quickly is midfielder Steven McCarter.
He returned to action recently after fracturing an eye socket last August only to pull a hamstring two weeks ago.
Reid added: ‘Steven had returned to form and it’s disappointing to lose him again.
