And he is hopeful his young side can inflict a first defeat in three years on holders St Saviour – revenge for losing in the final for the past two years.
‘It will be a tough contest but I feel a good game of football,’ said Melton.
‘We’re been playing fairly well on bumpy pitches so I’m expecting us to play plenty of two-touch stuff tonight contributing to some good football.
‘St Saviour are holders and they, too, have a lot of Division I players.
If we can hold out first half and sneak a goal then I fancy us to go on and win.’ St Saviour manager Ian Corfield said: ‘It’s not going to be an easy game for us.
St Clement have their best squad for a number of years while we have around seven different from last year’s squad.
‘But we have done well considering the changes and if we play to the best of our ability we have a good chance of winning again.’ One man they will need to watch is Island striker Danny Craven, who is in red-hot form at the moment having scored four in St Clement’s quarter-final victory over St Martin on Monday.
