The vehicles were on display in the sunshine in Weighbridge Square from 10 am, with prizes being handed out for the best decorated car and the best Easter bonnets.

John and Pam L’Ecrivain won the prize for best decorated car for their 1936 Ford Roadster and Janine Buckley was awarded the prize for the best Easter Bonnet.

The children’s best bonnet prize of a large Easter egg was won by four-year-old Megan de Gruchy, with Paige de Gruchy (5), Celina Grime (5) and three-year-old Amber Grime also picking up Easter eggs as the runners up.

‘The weather couldn’t be more perfect,’ said Stephanie Constantine, president of the Jersey Old Motor Club, as she enjoyed the sunny conditions.

She added that she was also grateful for use of the venue.

‘We are delighted that we were able to use the Weighbridge for our meeting so that members of the public could enjoy the cars as well,’ she said.

‘There’s a great atmosphere down here.’

Club members were in the square to talk about their cars and explain their history before the cavalcade set off at 11 am to the Greenhills Country Hotel in St Peter.
