Staff raise funds for SCBU neo-natal monitors

The money raised will help the Baby Bean Appeal, which has been set up by the charity together with Baby Lifeline and Philips Footprint to purchase fetal monitors for the maternity unit at Jersey’s General Hospital.

Gemma Harries from SCBU said the much-needed equipment helps give mothers a greater freedom of movement during labour.

She said: ‘The monitors are especially beneficial for those with high-risk pregnancies as they increase the chance of a normal pregnancy and a positive birthing experience.’

Fairway Group MD,Louise Bracken-Smith is pictured handing over the cheque to SCBU fundraiser Gemma Harries and they are joined by Alistair Rothwell, MD at Bracken Rothwell.
