This year, 140 nominees have been put forward across 13 categories and, with under a week before the competition closes, Islanders are being urged to get their votes in quickly.
By Tuesday morning, more than 15,000 votes had already been cast.
JEP editor Andy Sibcy said that it has been humbling and inspiring to read about those who had been put forward for an award.
‘The time has once again arrived to help us celebrate the outstanding contribution so many people make to the life of our community by voting in the 2019 Pride of Jersey Awards,’ he said.
‘We have been delighted with the response this year with 140 people nominated and a high number of votes have already been cast.
‘The polls will not stay open for long, so please show your appreciation for so many inspirational Islanders by voting at prideofjersey.com or by using the forms printed in the newspaper.’
After voting closes at midnight on 12 August, Islanders’ favourite candidates will be judged by a group of sponsor representatives, JEP staff and last year’s winners.
Three finalists from each category will then be invited to attend the Pride of Jersey Awards ceremony in September.
