In a statement, they said they have ‘removed Shaun Rankin from the board and from all… subsidiaries, terminating their commercial contract with him’.
Since it opened in 2013, the kitchen has been under the leadership of head chef Lee Smith. The existing team is to remain in place.
In a statement, the owners said: ‘It is time to move forward with a refocused vision for Ormer and Shaun Rankin does not form part of our plans for the future.
‘We will be concentrating on enhancing our presence in Jersey and selectively adding to our restaurants in the UK, starting with an exciting new venture in Liverpool.’
They added that other changes locally include developing the Don Street Deli into a ‘new, unfussy modern dining experience’ and the ‘reinterpretation of the roof terrace bar which will be enclosed to provide all-year use’.
