THE Evelyn Partner Jets flexed their muscles in a combative contest that saw them blow Northants Storm aside 62-41 in their final home game of the season at Oakfield Sports Centre.
With just one game now remaining in the Premier League 3 season, the Jets have ensured the title race will go right down to the final day.

Rosie Tonner and her teammates have traditionally been the fast starters, but on this occasion it was Northants who flew out of the blocks the quicker. After just 90 seconds, the visitors had taken advantage of a slightly slow start and raced to 1-5 lead.
However, before long, natural order had been restored. Once the ball was able to find the hands of the outstanding duo of Grace Thomson and Lily Jones, the score began to flip and the Jets finished Q1 17-12 up.
That lead extended to a commanding 32-20 lead at half time.
As the scoreline increased, so to did the physicality of the game. Thomson, still just 17, showed her maturity at this level, dealing again with challenging defensive challenges and shooting superbly.
Her partnership with the outstanding Jones is blossoming game by game. Jones showed once again why she is a cut above the rest and one of the best players in the league. When the ball hits her hands, it very rarely goes anywhere other than the net.
Jones was replaced at the start of the second half, with Tonner moving into Goal Shooter and Jacy Brown on at Wing Attack.
Storm looked to attack hard again from the off, their own Goal Shooter using her physicality well and shooting accurately.
The defensive trio of Becca Forrest, Molly Carre and Jodie Blampied were as efficient as ever in keeping the space to a minimum and the scoreline reflected so.

The Jets entered the final quarter 44-33 up and closed the game out with a destructive final blitz to take their score past 60 for the third time in four games.
The Jets now extend their current winning streak to 6 and continue their 100% winning streak since the start of 2026.
Their final league game is scheduled for Sunday 29 March, away at Norfolk United.
