JERSEY Bulls Women will aim to round off their remarkable year on a high as they travel to face Fleet Town Reserves tomorrow afternoon in Surrey Division One.

The match kicks off at 2pm at the Easy AS HGV Stadium, with the visitors arriving in confident mood after a record-breaking 17-0 demolition of Molesey Athletic last weekend, marking the largest competitive victory in the club’s short history.

The Bulls have adapted seamlessly to life in English football, carrying over last season’s dominance into a higher and more physically demanding division.

Their consistency has been the hallmark of their campaign with 59 goals scored and just seven conceded, the Bulls no signs of travel fatigue despite the cross-Channel commitments.

Fleet Town Reserves sit fourth in the table and have enjoyed several explosive attacking displays, including a 9-0 win over Guildford Saints and a 7-2 dismantling of Hersham early in the season, but their recent form offers a more mixed picture.

They were held to a 1-1 draw by Molesey Athletic just a fortnight ago, a result that contrasts sharply with Jersey’s emphatic victory over the same opposition. It suggests that, on paper, tomorrow’s encounter should favour the Bulls, though Chad Morris and his coaching staff will be keen to guard against complacency.

One subplot worth watching is the tightening golden boot race. Bulls forward Anita Tavares, who has been electric in front of goal throughout the campaign, enters the weekend on 19 goals, three behind Milford & Whitley’s Emily Smith.

With Smith also in action against bottom side Old Tiffinians, Tavares will need to remain clinical to keep pace.

Defensively, the Bulls have been as assured as ever. Their back line has been praised throughout recent weeks for its organisation and composure. Clean sheets have become routine of late and tomorrow provides another opportunity to extend their impressive record.

Chad Morris has been impressed with his side in training since the beginning of the season, full of praise, Morris said: “I tell you what they’re good at, they drive each other in training. It doesn’t need to be so much the coaching staff on at them, they really drive each other on.”

“If the standards drop or intensity drops, they’re quickly on at each other to pick it back up again.” Morris continued.

Captain Holly Sundby echoed her coaches’ words when asked about the standards set at the club: “There’s a lot of competition within the team, it’s friendly competition, but it definitely drives the standard, and because we’re such a tight knit group, feedback is always there.”

The captain continued to praise the work ethic of her teammates: “We’ve had players, that if they haven’t been selected, go off and do extra training on their own Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday is something I didn’t expect, the players’ attitude towards making sure that they’re in a good position to be selected.”

With momentum behind them, attacking fluency improving week by week and the squad showing no sign of mid-season fatigue, Jersey Bulls Women enter their final match of 2025 well-prepared and well-placed.

A victory would not only solidify their title credentials but underline, once again, that they are a level above the rest in both quality and consistency.
