The youngest is St Paul’s midfielder Luke Shirley, who turned 16 on Wednesday, and he will team up with fellow 16-year-olds Joe Kilshaw and Dan Birrell. Harry Curtis – Jersey’s U18 captain – will also make the trip to the northern isle.

There is still plenty of experience to be garnered from the likes of seasoned Muratti warriors such as Jack Cannon, Chris Andrews, Craig Russell, Stuart André and Jack Boyle, but last year’s trophy-winning goalscorer Luke Watson is missing, replaced as captain by James Scott.

Cassidy, who will experience a Muratti semi-final for the first time, said: ‘I’ve watched the youngsters playing a lot this season and I like what I see.’
