LOGANAIR will start operating flights from the Island to East Midlands Airport and to Paris-Charles de Gaulle this weekend.

The routes are among four new summer destinations that the Scottish carrier is launching from its Jersey base.

Loganair started flights from the Island to Norwich earlier this month, while the Paris and East Midlands routes will commence this Sunday, followed by Bordeaux on 19 June.

The new routes were announced earlier this year, just months after the airline began establishing its Jersey operations in the wake of the collapse of Blue Islands.

Paul Holley, head of connectivity at Ports of Jersey said: “We’re delighted to see Loganair launch its new daily service to East Midlands, enhancing connectivity while demonstrating the continued growth of Loganair’s network and presence here in Jersey. High-frequency regional routes are vital for keeping Islanders connected, while also giving visitors greater flexibility and choice when travelling to the Island.”

Loganair chief executive Luke Farajallah told the JEP last month that he felt the company had been “quietly delivering the promise that we entered the market on”.

It was named the most punctual major airline for UK arrivals and departures in 2025 (January-September) by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), with 81% of its flights arriving and departing on time – above the industry average of 72%.
