A PROGRAMME of wildlife walks designed to offer people the chance to take a closer look at Jersey’s unique landscapes is due to return next month.
The Jersey National Park runs the Walk in the Park programme – offering 20 expert-led walks covering a wide range of subjects, from wildlife and weather to farming and history.
The initiative aims to highlight the richness of the Island’s natural environment through accessible walks led by specialists and local experts.
Titled ‘The very nature of this Island’, the 2026 programme brings together a series of guided walks designed to encourage participants to take a closer look at the landscapes, natural systems and local stories that help shape an understanding of Jersey’s environment and heritage.
Options include walking the full length of Jersey’s Atlantic coast, or selecting from a variety of circular routes that showcase different parts of the National Park.
Each walk is designed to offer a different way of seeing the Island, with space for participants to observe, ask questions and explore.
Walkers are encouraged to take their time and enjoy the natural surroundings, with opportunities to wander through secluded trails and discover a range of sites along the way.
A series of self-guided routes is available using the Jersey National Park interactive map available online at jerseynationalpark.com. There are 14 routes available on the map.
