A MAN who had been due to face a week-long Royal Court trial over two counts of grave and criminal assault changed his pleas just minutes before it was due to start.
Sebastian Gasulla-Sole admitted the two charges, having previously denied them.
Wearing a grey polo shirt, the 41-year-old yesterday appeared at the Royal Court. But Crown Advocate Michael Preston, prosecuting, announced that he had been informed of a last minute “change of plea” on the two relevant counts.
Gasulla-Sole admitted one grave and criminal assault on 30 September 2023 in St Martin, and another on 1 May 2025 in St Helier.
A panel of prospective jurors were then called into the room by Commissioner Alan Binnington, presiding, to be officially discharged of their duties.
Advocate Preston asked for Gasulla-Sole to be remanded in custody ahead of a sentencing hearing fixed for Friday 17 April at 10am.
Legal Advocate Chris Baglin, defending, offered no opposition.
