At the heart of this campaign is a simple idea: that everyday actions, when widely embraced, can create meaningful change. A JERSEY sustainability campaign that turned everyday coffee cups into canvases for environmental action has been shortlisted for a major international fashion award.

Harti’s ‘Art on Your Cup, Change in Your Hands’ initiative has been nominated for Best Consumer Engagement Campaign at the Drapers Conscious Fashion Summit and Awards 2026, which will take place in London this month.

The campaign, created by Jersey contemporary art-meets-fashion brand Harti in partnership with local café chain Cooper & Co, launched last summer as part of the #SipSeaChange initiative.

Designed to spark conversations around sustainability, the project features takeaway coffee cups wrapped in bold pop-art style illustrations created by artist Sascha Hartmann, aka Harti, the husband of Jersey Style Awards founder Tessa Hartmann.

Each cup acted as both a piece of art and a prompt for customers to think about their environmental impact.

Founder and creative director Mrs Hartmann said the nomination shows how fashion and everyday habits can work together to inspire change.

“Our ‘Art on Your Cup, Change in Your Hands’ campaign by Harti is officially taking the fashion world by storm – we’ve just been nominated for ‘Best Consumer Engagement Campaign’ at the Drapers Conscious Fashion Awards,” she said.

“This isn’t just a cute cup. It’s a conversation starter about cutting down single-use products, about protecting our oceans, about making better choices without sacrificing style.”

She added: “If fashion can start movements on the runway, why not over your morning brew? Consider this your permission to sip, chat, and stir up change – one coffee, one artwork, one small action at a time.”

The initiative also supported ocean conservation awareness and recycling education through QR codes linking customers to sustainability resources.
