TEMPORARY traffic lights put in place on Trinity Hill due to the ground lifting will remain in place until a break in the recent poor weather.
States of Jersey Police said they’d been made aware of a section of the road, northbound by Oak Tree Gardens, “starting to lift” due to the “adverse weather”.
An Infrastructure and Environment Department spokesperson said there team has assessed the situation and the cause is a drain blocked with “water and debris”.
They explained it cannot be fixed until there is a break in the rainy weather, but that repair work will begin as soon as possible.
It is forecast to continue to rain in St Helier, where the road is located, until the end of the week. However, the first three days next week will have some sunny intervals.
