TWO stalwarts of contemporary crime will appear in the latest headline event announced for the Jersey Festival of Words 2025.
Elly Griffiths and Peter James will delight lovers of mystery and suspense in a much anticipated “An Audience With…”, at the Freedom Centre on Thursday 25 September.
With a string of chart-topping bestsellers and prestigious awards between them, the one-hour exclusive discussion will promise insight, intrigue, and a few royal surprises, according to festival organisers.
A Jersey resident and festival patron, Mr James is the creator of the internationally acclaimed Roy Grace series, which will see the new instalment launched this October, teasers for which he will share with the audience.
Meanwhile, Elly Griffiths, known for the “Ruth Galloway Mysteries”, will discuss the launch of her new series “The Frozen People” this year, introducing a new concept and ambitious exploration of “cold cases”.
The event is sponsored by Titan Wealth.
Chair of the financial services company Haydn Taylor said the headline event proves the festival “is growing in popularity and stature.”
“It is testament to the hard work of the [festival] committee that Peter and Elly are one of the headline events for 2025,” he said.
“We know the evening will be incredibly popular and are looking forward to being part of the audience.’
Tickets for “An Audience with Peter James and Elly Griffiths” as well as the full programme of events will be available from Monday 9 June.
The Jersey Festival of Words takes places from 19 to 28 September.
