THE jackpot for this year’s Channel Island Christmas Lottery has topped £420,000.
With less than a week left to go, the top prize is expected to rise further still – last year’s jackpot hit £500,000.
Organisers have also set up a dedicated phone line for groups wishing to buy blocks of tickets.
A total of 67 prizes will be drawn this Thursday from 6pm.
States of Guernsey head of lottery Jon Taylor said: “This year we have had two Christmas games on sale, The Extravaganza instant game and the traditional Christmas Draw Game.
“The first prize will rise further and there’s plenty of opportunities to win this year whichever island bags the top prize.”
All proceeds raised are distributed to good causes throughout the Channel Islands.
Last year’s lottery raised £2.5 million.
