Robin ‘Rob’ Coutanche (70) died in New Plymouth after his red McCormick tractor rolled onto a stretch of highway and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
Motorists tried to save the former Islander’s life by giving CPR but he died at the scene.
He leaves behind his wife, Ann, and his eldest son, Ian, who live in New Zealand, as well as his youngest son, Andrew, who still lives in Jersey.
The memorial service for Mr Coutanche, who lived in St Lawrence before moving to New Zealand six years ago, is due to be held at St Lawrence Church, starting at 2.30 pm.
