Deputy Mézec has said he is delighted to have the support of the Communication Workers Union after already gaining backing from the Jersey branch of one of Britain’s largest trade unions, Unite.

Unite have said they intend to financially support the politician but Nick Corbel, regional representative, has not disclosed how much the union would be willing to invest.

However, he said it would be far less than the £10,000 figure being touted on social media.
