Fleur Dodd followed in her sisters’ footsteps by taking part in the competition, her eldest sister Ella having previously been the runner-up and another sister Lily having won the title.
Fleur, who is the daughter of Jason and Jarn Dodd, is studying chemistry, biology, history and psychology at JCG, with a view to studying medicine at university and becoming a doctor and as well as keeping up with her studies, she helps at the Autism Jersey charity shop and at Pinewood residential home .
Fleur said that she had helped with the parish Battle of Flowers float in the past and was pleased that she would be able to do so again this year, the parish having decided to create an exhibit for the first time since 2008.
