Senator Alan Breckon, who is leading calls to introduce the exemptions, is taking the fight online to encourage younger Islanders to get involved.

He is calling on people to ‘poke a politician’ using the social networking site Facebook to register their support.

He has also set up a special email address that Islanders can write to. His campaign team has set up the Facebook page, which enables Islanders to send a message to Deputies, Constables and Senators saying that they want the tax exemptions introduced.
