HSBC crowned internet champion

It was named ‘Best Consumer Internet Bank’ at the Global Finance Internet Banking Awards for 2010, held in New York.

Having won the Channel Islands award in the preliminary regional category, the bank went on to pick up the overall top consumer internet banking award in the global category too, fending off strong competition from Wells Fargo, Standard Chartered, Banco Santander, Citi and Samba Financial Group.

The chief executive of HSBC Offshore Islands, Nick Winsor, said that the award was a ‘great recognition’ for all the hard work that the team had put in.
