JERSEY businesses will have the chance to make an initial bid for States contracts on Monday.
The Meet the Buyer day at the Hotel de France promises to provide information about opportunities for local firms to provide a range of services and products to States departments. This is the first time that the States have held an event of this kind.
Companies will be able to make appointments to meet the various buyers for 20 minutes during the course of the day. They will need to register by Friday.
The States departments are particularly interested in firms in the following sectors: building contractors, car leasing, catering supplies, civil engineering, cleaning contractors, marketing and design, public relations, health and safety testing and inspection, heating systems, insulation, IT services, janitorial products, mechanical plant and engineering supplies, office supplies, property maintenance and gardening services, protective clothing and security services.
Economic Development Minister Alan Maclean (pictured) said: ‘We buy a broad range of products and services and I am pleased that all States departments are supporting this initiative.’
