From Simon Wells.

I CANNOT understand, for the life of me, how anyone can accuse deputy police chief Lenny Harper of a cover-up.

Although Mr Harper does not need me or anyone to speak on his behalf, surely commonsense would prevail and people should realise that it was in the best interests of the investigation at the time to keep this wooden shell under wraps?

However, if this fragment is a coconut shell, anyone could be forgiven for thinking that it could be a child’s skull because such material takes a very long time to break down within the soil, particularly in light of other fragments, which were found at the same time. It is understandable that such material could have been mistaken.

Nevertheless, before we point the finger we should ask ourselves how we would have handled the situation if we were in his position.
