Steven Facchino (22) had denied all the charges and was due to face a trial in the Royal Court starting on Monday.

Yesterday, however, the court heard from Crown Advocate Julian Gollop that the Crown would not be pursuing two counts of indecent assault against boys aged 13 and 14, supplying cannabis to a 13-year-old child, committing an act of gross indecency in the presence of a 12-year-old child, attempting to commit sodomy with a 12-year-old child, attempting to procure the commission by a child aged 12 of acts of gross indecency on him, and committing sodomy with a 12-year-old boy.

Facchino will still face the charge of having in his possession indecent photographs of children – a charge which he also denies.
