Lottery first prize should reach £?m

The top prize in the draw currently stands at £470,000 but organisers are confident that it could reach the half-a- million-pound mark before too long. Last year’s top prize was ?447,500.

One and a half million tickets have been printed for the lottery this year, 200,000 more than last year. Economic Development Assistant Minister Alan Maclean said that he was hoping for a Christmas sell-out.
