Playing in Division I St Joseph B beat St Joseph A 7-3 with Corfield coming from 2-0 down to beat Jurkiewicz, clinching the decider 12-10.

Earlier, Jurkiewicz had inflicted a first defeat of the season on Craig Gascoyne, again in five sets.

Corfield was unbeaten on the night, also beating Dale Brockbank 3-0 and Ryan Brockbank 3-1.

Gascoyne and junior Josh Band had two wins each for the B, against the Brockbanks, although they were edged out 3-2 in the doubles by Jurkiewicz and Dale Brockbank.

Slump

League leaders Pegasus A maintained their unbeaten record by beating St Joseph C 8-2, who clearly missed recent Top 12 winner Grzgegorz Frankowski.

Dave Cronin led the way with three wins, while veteran Clive Hansford beat both Colin Marriott and Nicola Duke but lost 3-2 to Mark Brockbank.

Junior Scott Cassin had wins over both Brockbank and Duke but was beaten 3-1 by Marriott.

Hansford and Cronin just edged out Marriott and Brockbank to take the doubles.

CCC B recovered from their recent slump by beating their C team 6-4.

Ollie Vibert and Trevor Lefebvre both defeated Ian Lambert and Dan Smith, but lost to Kevin Allen.

Junior Max Tupper had fine wins over Allen and Smith but lost to Lambert 3-0.

Lambert and Allen comfortably beat Lefebvre and Tupper in the doubles.

Pegasus B had their third win in the last four to see off CCC A, with Alistair Gallichan continuing his recent fine form to beat Kay Lefebvre, newcomer Carol Milnes and junior Luke Walker.

Paul Routier won two for the winners, with wins over Lefebvre and Milnes, while Marcus Hawgood celebrated his first win of the season, 3-1 over Milnes.

The experienced pairing of Routier and Gallichan beat Lefebvre and Walker in the doubles.

CCC A now top the Division II table after beating their young C team 6-4.

Mark Liron won his three, beating Matthew Cooper, Tom Marsay and Sam Elliott.

For the C team, both Marsay and Elliott had two wins each over Glen Brown and Hugo Tupper.

Liron and Brown took the doubles with a 3-0 win over Cooper and Elliott.
